Overview

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), a REV Group brand, manufactures Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, and medium-duty ambulances in North Carolina. Bodies come from a long-term partnership with fourth-generation family manufacturer Mickey Truck Bodies, built with production automation for accuracy and repeatability. AEV crash-tests its ambulances dynamically at speeds 27 percent above federal passenger car guidelines and conducted the industry’s first multi-vehicle, opposite-side crash test. The brand sells and supports through a national dealer network. Terex merged with REV Group in February 2026.
