Overview
J.A. Larue has manufactured industrial snow removal equipment in Quebec since 1973, growing from a heavy equipment repair shop into one of the largest makers of industrial snow blowers in the world. Its 16 loader-mounted and self-propelled snow blower models serve airports, municipalities, DOTs, and contractors, with self-propelled units like the T85 processing snow at 18.5 mph, more than twice the pace of loader-mounted machines. Customers range from Kitimat, British Columbia, which clears 10 feet of snow a winter, to the New York State Thruway Authority, which runs a Larue T60 on nearly 500 miles of snowy roads. The family company, now led by its second generation, also builds airport brooms and plows.
