Old Dominion Brush has manufactured equipment to keep communities clean since 1910, from street sweeper brushes and brooms to debris and leaf collection systems. Its line covers truck mounted vacuum systems, self-contained trailer mounted units in 14 through 30 cubic yard sizes, and tow-behind leaf loaders, of which ODB has built thousands since the 1980s. The company holds the patent-pending single-engine debris collector truck system, the patented CDL-exempt debris collector truck, and patented ECO-MODE, technologies that address the labor shortages, fuel costs, and safety concerns municipalities face. Trailer mounted systems increase curb miles cleaned per shift with fewer dump trips and two to three fewer workers than tow-behind loaders. Agencies purchase through the Alamo Group Sourcewell contract.
