Road Rescue has built ambulances since 1976, when Bill Huestis acquired the name and design drawings and began producing safe, spacious, customizable modular ambulances in St. Paul, Minnesota. The line covers Type 1, Type 3, and medium duty models under the UltraMedic and RediMedic names, plus high-risk infection control units. Signature engineering includes CurveForce formed aluminum body corners, which need only one welded seam per corner and give each unit 50 percent fewer seams than most ambulances to reduce corrosion potential, the MaxForce mounting system that disperses collision energy across multiple chassis coupling points and allows remounting on a different chassis brand without reconfiguring, and Brilliance advanced vehicle lighting. Road Rescue is a REV Group ambulance brand, and Terex merged with REV Group in February 2026.
