Towmaster has engineered equipment trailers for nearly 50 years, starting in the early 1970s when founder Harlan Palm built a low-deck trailer for moving skid loaders and growing into a full line manufactured in Litchfield, Minnesota. The lineup covers drop-deck, drop-deck tilt, deck-over, deck-over tilt, rigid gooseneck, hydraulic tail, hydraulic detachable gooseneck, and hydraulic dump trailers, all built with American steel and backed by a limited lifetime frame warranty. The company added truck bodies and truck equipment in 2008 and was purchased by Monroe Truck Equipment in 2017, work that now includes turnkey municipal truck upfits for snow and ice control and year-round road maintenance. Public agencies buy the full trailer line through Sourcewell contract 092922-MNR or, in Canada, through Canoe.
