MontiPower makes industrial surface preparation tools for coating, adhesive and corrosion protection work, aimed at situations where conventional abrasive blasting is impractical. Its Bristle Blaster technology cleans and generates an anchor profile in a single cold-working pass: forward-curved bristle tips strike the surface with kinetic energy comparable to grit blasting, a patented accelerator bar amplifies the impact, and the tips retract instantly, producing micro-indentation without smearing, burnishing or heat. The result is a 65 to 85 micrometre Rz profile, up to 120, with cleanliness the company describes as comparable to ISO 8501-1 Sa2.5 and Sa3 and to SSPC-SP 10 and SP 5, and with no loose grit, containment or blast pot. The line runs from the Tercoo rotary blaster for stripping thick coatings, tar, epoxy and heavy rust, through electric, double-belt and cordless Bristle Blaster models, to M-TESTCO inspection and test equipment for verifying a surface meets specification. ATEX-approved models are offered for explosive zones, and the cordless model gives around 25 minutes of preparation time on an 8Ah 18V pack at 2200 rpm with an anti-vibration handle. The company works through distributors in more than 65 countries, and cites the industry rule of thumb that around 60 percent of industrial coating failures trace back to field surface preparation.
