LEHR, a national emergency vehicle upfitter, acquired 911 Custom, a Midwest-based upfitting operation, on July 29, extending the company’s emergency vehicle upfitting footprint into a region where it previously had limited presence.
The deal folds 911 Custom’s shop operations and technician workforce into LEHR. Financial terms were not disclosed.
911 Custom will continue operating out of its existing Midwest location as the integration moves forward, according to LEHR. The company said it plans to bring 911 Custom’s technicians into its training and quality programs as part of the transition.
LEHR has positioned itself around custom-spec work, allowing agencies to select components and submit configurations for quoting rather than choosing from preset packages. The company says it maintains a broad parts catalog backed by OEM partnerships and national distribution.
