Akins Ford is a Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership in Winder, Georgia that opened in 1966 and now runs eight buildings across 72 acres with more than 500 employees. It was recognized as the largest volume retail Ford dealer in the nation in 2025, and as the top volume retail F-Series dealer in 2023, 2024 and 2025. It was also named the largest volume retail commercial Ford dealer in the nation in 2025, and it carries commercial inventory alongside its new and used stock. Service runs through a service department, a Quick Lane for common maintenance without an appointment, and a body shop and collision center. The dealership serves Athens, Atlanta, Buford, Lawrenceville, Gainesville and other communities across Athens-Clarke, Gwinnett and Barrow counties. Akins has installed nearly 900 solar modules across four rooftops plus a solar canopy over its EV chargers, and operates 19 charging points including three Level 3 DC and five Level 2 AC.
