Mantis

Optimized tool carrier that can operate interchangeable attachments for boom mowing, wide area mowing, and various other jobs.

Overview

The Mantis Prime Mover from Alamo Group Municipal Mowing Solutions is an optimized tool carrier built for roadside vegetation management. It operates front, side, and rear mount attachments, and its 102 inch standard transport width means it can run on all roadways, with a 25 mph transport speed between job sites. A full-visibility cab rotates 90 degrees in either direction, crab steering adds maneuverability, and boom mower options reach 24 or 30 feet from machine center with heads ranging from grass flails to buzz bar saws. Power comes from a Deutz 5.2 liter Tier IV diesel at 155 or 201 horsepower. Government buyers can purchase through Sourcewell, BuyBoard, NASPO, and Canoe Canada cooperative contracts.
