Overview

Alexis Fire Equipment Company has built fire apparatus since 1947 and remains one of the only family-owned fire equipment manufacturers in the Midwest, with more than 75 engineers, craftsmen, and mechanics in a 55,000 square foot facility. The company custom builds pumpers, tankers, aerials, and rescues to each department’s specifications, with customers able to view build progress online weekly, and also offers the Response 1, Vision Series, and Engine 1 specialty vehicle lines plus major refurbishment and remount work. Alexis is the exclusive PL Custom Ambulance dealer for Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. Departments can purchase through a Sourcewell contract that eliminates the time and expense of running their own bid process.
