Ditch Witch

Trenchers, horizontal directional drills, vacuum excavators and skid steers for underground construction, built since 1949.

Overview

Ditch Witch makes underground construction equipment: trenchers, horizontal directional drills, vacuum excavators, mini skid steers and stand-on compact track loaders, and the attachments that go with them. The company traces its trenchers to founder Ed Malzahn and has kept them central to utility installation and repair work.

For public works and utility crews, the catalog includes vacuum excavators for locating and potholing around buried lines, microtrenching attachments for fiber installation in streets, coring attachments for utility maintenance, and breakers, rock saws, augers, backfill blades, grapples and pallet forks for the SK series mini skid steers. Sales, rental and service run through a dealer network.
