Overview

Roam is a Canadian car subscription and long-term rental company serving the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa, founded in Toronto in 2020 as Curbo and rebranded in 2022. Short-term plans run from seven days and long-term plans from 30 days on a month-to-month basis with maintenance included, no long-term contract, cancellation after the first term, and refunds for unused days. Its business program, launched in 2022, offers custom vehicle plans, centralized team billing, exclusive inventory, employee onboarding, and flexible funding for anywhere from one vehicle to more than 100. Roam has delivered over 5,000 vehicles, holds a 4.8 rating across more than 900 Google reviews, won Startup Business of the Year at the 2024 Canadian SME Awards, and ranked 16th on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list.
