Rotochopper, Inc.

Grinding, shredding and screening equipment that turns wood waste into mulch, bedding and biomass, sold factory direct on Sourcewell contract 030923-RTO.

Overview

Rotochopper has manufactured grinding, shredding, and screening equipment for more than 35 years from St. Martin, Minnesota, specializing in machines that turn wood waste and other low-grade materials into marketable products like colored landscape mulch, animal bedding, biomass fuel and compost. The employee-owned company builds diesel and electric horizontal grinders and shredders, conveyors, trommels, multi-stage systems and the Go-Bagger 250 portable bagging machine. Rotochopper sells and services factory direct rather than through dealers, so its representatives work exclusively on Rotochopper equipment and spend time in the field. Public agencies can buy the full line through Sourcewell contract 030923-RTO, held since 2023, or through Canoe Procurement in Canada.
