Overview

Wright Manufacturing builds commercial mowers in Maryland and began as Lawn-Wright, a landscaping business, before turning manufacturer with the Grass Gobbler in 1983, the Velke Sulky in 1988, and the first stand-on mower in 1997. The company later introduced the first dual-drive wheel mower and the wide-area autonomous ZK. Its four commercial categories cover stand-on, zero-turn, walk-behind, and autonomous machines across ten mower families in decks from 32 to 72 inches, with models suited to airports, parks, football fields, and campuses. Every product is specified with heavy-duty commercial components including split steel pulleys, EFI engine options, and Hydro Gear transmissions. Public agencies buy through Sourcewell contract 112624-WRT, Equalis Group, or Canoe in Canada, with tax-exempt municipal lease financing available.
