Volvo CE Updates L30 and L35 Compact Wheel Loaders With Redesigned Cab and Improved Serviceability

Volvo CE has updated the Volvo L30 and L35 compact wheel loaders with a redesigned rear section, a new cab entrance and improved service access, with production scheduled to begin late 2026.
The updates made their public debut at the GaLaBau trade show in Nuremberg. “The L30 and L35 loaders have long been top choices among our customers thanks to their ability to tackle a variety of tasks across applications, including in construction, landscaping and farming,” said Darren Ashton, Product Manager, Compact Equipment at Volvo CE. “These newest updates give fleets even greater versatility. Switching between tasks is easier than ever, servicing is more straightforward, and operators get the daily performance they need to get the job done.”
The redesigned rear adds mounting points for rear-mounted equipment and allows different trailer couplings to be fitted quickly. Hydraulic and electrical connections can be added or retrofitted with less installation work. High-flow hydraulics are rated at up to 26.4 g/min on the L30 and 29.1 g/min on the L35, with adjustable auxiliary flow to support a range of attachments.
The redesigned rear also gives technicians better access for servicing and repairs. Split side-mounted counterweights can be removed when needed, and a larger opening in the front frame improves access to key components and simplifies installation of additional hydraulic or electrical equipment. Those changes build on ground-level service access, extended service intervals and machine monitoring through the Volvo ActiveCare Direct advanced telematics system, which were already part of the platform.
The updated cab entrance uses three ergonomically positioned steps, well-placed handrails and a wide-opening door. Inside, a high seating position supports visibility of the attachment and the surrounding work area. The cab includes low noise levels, heating, optional air conditioning, an adjustable steering column and an ergonomic joystick. A 5-inch display, operated by a jog wheel, provides access to machine information.
“The L30 and L35 are already proven machines, so our focus with these updates was on listening to operator feedback and making work easier,” Ashton said. “We’ve added practical improvements that keep maintenance straightforward and boost site output, helping customers get even more done every day.” Orders are anticipated to ship shortly after production starts late in 2026.
