Overview

Toyota’s U.S. lineup spans cars, trucks and SUVs with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric and fuel cell options, including the Tacoma and Tundra pickups, the Sequoia, the Prius and the Corolla. The Mirai, named for the Japanese word for future, was the world’s first mass-produced light duty fuel cell vehicle, and a second generation arrived in 2021. Through Toyota Hydrogen Solutions the company applies fuel cell technology beyond passenger vehicles, covering heavy and light duty mobility applications, stationary power systems and fueling infrastructure. Toyota reports more than 30 years of work in fuel cell technology and investment across the hydrogen supply chain, including fueling stations, plants and a North American Hydrogen Headquarters. The company notes that these products are assembled in North America.
