Harley-Davidson Motor Company

For law enforcement, Harley-Davidson offers the fully equipped Police Road Glide with the Milwaukee-Eight 121 VVT engine.

Overview

Harley-Davidson has supplied motorcycles to motor officers and rescue personnel since 1908. Its current police lineup is led by the 2026 Police Road Glide, powered by the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine that replaced the 114, with variable valve timing for more power and efficiency on patrol. Factory-installed police equipment includes red and blue front lighting integrated into the fairing with rear lights on the Tour-Pak carrier, programmable as sequential directional arrows; a siren with hand control that shuts off automatically with the lights or when the kickstand drops; and a chopped Tour-Pak with three built-in electrical connection points for powering a ticket printer or laptop. Dual front discs with radially mounted four-piston Brembo calipers handle braking, and a new bracket adjusts the solo seat to three heights. Sixteen colour options are available, leasing runs through Harley-Davidson Financial Services, and pricing is set by dealerships. The company also operates a Police Technical Training School for technicians and officers at agencies running its motorcycles, and publishes The Motor Officer magazine.
