Pathwise (formerly App-Garden)

Affordable, easy-to-use solutions for managing school operations with no costly up-front investment.

Overview

Pathwise, formerly App-Garden, makes cloud software for K12 district operations, built by a team that includes former district administrators and transportation directors and drawing on more than 30 years serving schools. Its EZRouting transportation suite covers routing and dispatch, field and activity trips, on-bus technology and managed services. Route planning uses artificial intelligence to optimise efficiency through major schedule changes and planning cycles, while real-time dispatch tools let a director adapt to absences, delays and route disruptions on the fly, with GPS tracking, parent communication and fleet management included. On-bus products add in-vehicle tablets and student check-in and check-out alongside GPS tracking. Activity trip management handles requests, approvals, driver assignments, billing and cost tracking in one system. Beyond transportation the company sells compliance and governance tools covering open meeting law, ESSA and civil rights communication and board governance, program management for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, McKinney-Vento eligible student management and out-of-school-time programmes, and managed services offering expert-led route setup, optimisation and ongoing consultation.
