Corrections Policy
Tell us
If something we published is wrong, email info@modernpublicfleet.com with the headline or link and what’s incorrect. We read every one, and we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
What we do
We check the claim against the source. If we got it wrong, we fix it — usually the same business day.
How we show it
- Corrections
- A factual error that changes the meaning is fixed and a dated note is added to the bottom of the article saying what was wrong and what it now says. We do not quietly change a fact and move on.
- Clarifications
- Where something was accurate but open to being misread, we add a dated note explaining it.
- Minor fixes
- Typos, broken links and formatting are fixed without a note, as they don’t change meaning.
- Updates
- Where a story develops, we add a dated update rather than rewriting history.
What we don’t do
We don’t remove published articles because a subject dislikes the coverage. If a fact is wrong we correct it; if it’s right, it stands.
