Whelen Adds 2D Mode to Simulate Configuration Tool

Whelen Engineering has released an update to its Simulate platform, adding a 2D simulation mode intended to improve performance and accessibility when configuring emergency vehicle lighting and warning systems. The new mode is designed to let fleet upfitters and specifiers verify vehicle configurations more quickly than the existing 3D environment.
Simulate is Whelen’s web-based tool for building and previewing custom emergency lighting configurations before ordering. The 2D update targets users who need a faster, at-a-glance view of a vehicle’s lighting layout, potentially reducing the time required to finalize specs for police, fire, EMS and other emergency vehicle upfits.
