Denver’s city council approved a $107,127 amendment to its telematics contract with Samsara, bringing the agreement’s total value to more than $11 million for hardware and software services across city fleet operations.
The amendment carries no change to the contract term. The council did not disclose which specific departments or vehicle classes prompted the additional spend.
Samsara holds the citywide telematics agreement covering hardware and software across Denver’s municipal operations. The original contract had already reached the low eight-figure range before the council acted on the increase.
At $11 million cumulative, the Denver agreement ranks among the larger municipal telematics contracts in the region. The $107,127 increment suggests the city is adding devices or expanding software seat counts within an existing pricing structure rather than renegotiating terms.
Denver has not released a vehicle count tied to the amended contract or a per-unit breakdown of the added cost.
