Vehicle Lift Inspection
Periodic inspection of shop lifts. A routine facility obligation and one of the few maintenance shop items with a direct life-safety consequence.
Vehicle lifts require regular inspection by a qualified inspector, along with daily operator checks and maintenance of the lift itself.
It belongs in a fleet reference because it is a scheduled obligation that lives with the shop rather than the vehicles, and is therefore easy to leave out of a maintenance program built entirely around assets. A lift out of service also removes shop capacity immediately, so the inspection is a wrench time question as well as a safety one.
