Crafco

Pavement preservation materials and equipment, from crack sealant and cold patch to concrete repair and protection.

Overview

Crafco, established in 1976 and part of Ergon, Inc., manufactures pavement preservation materials and the equipment to apply them: hot-applied crack sealants, cold patch, mastics for wide cracks, concrete repair material that opens to traffic in an hour, and protective surface treatments, plus melters and tack tanks. Materials are made in the United States and used by state DOTs, municipalities and contractors.

The company conducts pavement research and takes part in the organizations that set preservation practice, and it provides training and support alongside its products. For an agency, the practical value is a single source for sealant, patch and the melter to run them, with the guidance to match material to climate and pavement condition.
