Everest Equipment

Everest is an Alamo Group brand focused on infrastructure maintenance equipment.

Overview

Everest Equipment designs and manufactures snow removal and ice control equipment from a plant in Ayer’s Cliff, Quebec, and is a subsidiary of the Alamo Group. Its snow and ice range covers reversible snowplows in heavy duty and lightweight versions with trip edge or butterfly designs, one way plows for high speed and low speed work, and plow wings and wing systems for angle plowing. Truck side products include standard dump body frames and spreader body frames for municipal snow removal and salt spreading, plus municipal and highway hitches in heavy duty low-mount, quick hitch and power-tilt configurations. Products go to municipal and airport customers through what the company calls the industry’s strongest dealer network. Everest also designs and manufactures custom underground construction forms for vehicular, water and sewage and hydro-electric tunnels, and describes itself as the North American leader in that work. The plant dates to 1974, when Ewing-Records & Associates of Converse, Texas opened it to make custom steel forming equipment for Quebec hydro-electric projects; it later became Burke Canada Inc., was bought by a group of its employees in 1989 and renamed Everest Equipment.
