Genfare

A leader in solution-based fare collection, from cutting-edge components to fully integrated automated fare collection.

Overview

Genfare has provided fare collection systems to transit agencies across the US and Canada for more than 40 years. Its suite runs from Fast Fare fareboxes and Open Link validators to mobile ticketing, open payment that accepts contactless bank cards and mobile wallets, and retail networks that let cash-paying riders load accounts, keeping fare capping and transfers available to unbanked riders. The Genfare Link back office is moving to a fully cloud-based SaaS platform, consolidating transaction, ridership, and device monitoring data with real-time maintenance dashboards. The company positions fare collection as part of a larger strategy to grow ridership, and helps agencies pursue grants.
