Overview

Student Transportation of America contracts school bus service to districts across North America, operating since 1997 as a family of brands. It reports more than 22,000 vehicles in operation, service to over 325 districts and a 95 percent contract renewal rate. The company’s structure puts local operators who know their own communities at the front, backed by STA’s national network for support. Safety is presented as its first priority, run through training programmes and an ongoing quality assurance system of standards, and it has used Netradyne technology in a recognition programme aimed at safer driving. Recent expansion includes Tremblay’s Bus Company joining the family of brands and Student Transportation of Canada acquiring G&L Stevenson Transport. STA was named to TIME magazine’s list of America’s Best Private Companies for 2026.
