Overview

Tesla for Business is the company’s fleet programme, aimed at organizations running electric vehicles and built around lower running costs, no fuel expense and minimal scheduled maintenance. The platform handles vehicle orders and delivery tracking, driver assignment, payments for service, charging and upgrades, service scheduling and estimate approval, and monitoring of vehicle charge and location through the Tesla app. A Fleet API lets fleet managers and authorized third-party applications read vehicle data including GPS location, charge status, tire pressure and energy consumption, and send commands such as locking or unlocking vehicles, starting or stopping charging sessions and initiating software updates. The company points to its Supercharger network, Roadside Assistance, Mobile Service and remote diagnostics as driver-facing support, and states that batteries carry a warranty of eight years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. Vehicles ship with active safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Avoidance, with Full Self-Driving offered as a supervised driver-assistance subscription. Workplace Level 2 charging can be priced and managed through the same platform.
