Overview

Virage Simulation designs and manufactures professional driving simulators and the courseware that runs on them, for driver training, evaluation, research and rehabilitation. Its public sector range includes the VS500M-P law enforcement simulator for officers and cadets, the VS600M-S snowplow simulator aimed at municipalities and government, the VS600M-W waste and recycling truck simulator, the VS600M-B school bus simulator, the VS700M transit bus simulator and the VS550M ambulance simulator for EMS and paramedics. Truck products cover the VS600M for driving schools, CDL programmes, private fleets and truckload carriers, plus the VS60-S shifting simulator, alongside car simulators for driving schools, fleets, research and clinical rehabilitation assessment. The company also builds custom simulators for vocational applications in mining, construction, oil field and forestry work. Its Golden programmes for CDL training are award-winning by its own account, and it presents simulators as part of a turnkey training solution rather than standalone hardware. Public agencies can procure through Sourcewell contract 102325-VIR, the Canoe Procurement Group of Canada, BuyBoard contract 697-23 for driver training simulation equipment and services, Virginia Sheriffs’ Association contract 25-01-0524, a Virginia Community Colleges state contract and the Wisconsin Technical College System purchasing consortium.
