WEX

WEX is a global commerce platform for fuel and fleet, employee benefits, and business payments.

Overview

WEX is a payments company whose fleet business centers on fuel cards and the software around them. Its fleet cards are accepted at 95 percent of US fueling stations and roughly 45,000 service locations, and the company reports more than 20 million business vehicles fueling with WEX. Card controls limit unauthorized spending, and reporting tools track fuel purchases by vehicle and driver. The platform supports mixed and electric fleets, including emissions analysis through its EMIT tool. Beyond fleet, WEX runs business payments and employee benefits lines, and holds cooperative contracts with Sourcewell and OMNIA Partners.
