Brite delivers managed IT, cybersecurity and public safety technology, headquartered in upstate New York with satellite branches that include the New York City metro area, Utah and South Carolina. It was founded in Rochester, New York in 1983 as a custom computer manufacturer, and reports more than 1,800 customers across 46 states with 95 percent client retention. Its public safety and in-vehicle technology unit, which the company says has served the market for more than 25 years, brings rugged computing, in-vehicle video, communications and fleet management together into a connected ecosystem. BriteProtect is its co-managed cybersecurity offering for local government and law enforcement, providing 24/7 monitoring, incident response, automated response playbooks and a shared platform giving agency staff visibility alongside Brite analysts. The company also helps agencies meet the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy for protecting criminal justice information. Support runs from an in-house operations center staffed around the clock by U.S. based employees, and Brite states that it does not offshore.
