U.S. manufacturer of police radar and lidar, providing speed enforcement equipment to law enforcement.
Stalker Radar is the trade name of Applied Concepts, Inc., founded in 1975 as a small contract engineering and manufacturing firm and now a premier US manufacturer of police radar and lidar. The company states that more state police agencies use its speed enforcement equipment than all other radar brands combined. Its police radar line runs from the dash-mounted DSR 2X+, which it calls the world’s first connected radar system with mobile reporting, and the DSR 2X, which tracks targets from over a mile away, to the waterproof Stalker II handheld usable in a patrol vehicle or on a motorcycle. Hand-held lidar guns are the smallest and lightest in the industry by its account, and the LidarCam 2 pairs lidar speed enforcement with an 8 MP camera, video evidence, ALPR and up to 1TB of storage. Applied Concepts operates three brands: Stalker Radar for enforcement and OEM radar products, Stalker Street Dynamics for radar speed signs, message signs and traffic data collection, and Stalker Sport for sports radar, including the baseball gun used by every MLB team. Products are Buy America compliant, a flood sensor warns motorists of water on roadways, and the company employs more than 200 people.
