Overview

KeyTrak makes electronic key and asset management systems, all designed, built and supported in-house at its headquarters in College Station, Texas. The company traces its start to 1987, when a Georgia entrepreneur set out to create a digital record of who took each key and when. Its line covers KeyTrak Edge, a drawer-based system using a computerized locking steel drawer and iButton key tag technology; KeyTrak EdgeSL, a smaller footprint version holding up to 192 keys across four 48-key drawers with an included security camera and 18-month data retention; and KeyTrak Guardian, a modular wall-mounted system for managing multiple types of assets. Authentication options include a biometric fingerprint reader, user password, proximity card and RFID or magnetic strip card, with single, dual or tertiary login, and the systems support lockdown, overdue-key alerts by text, email and mobile, and reporting down to the individual user. A mobile app for iPhone and Android lets users check key status, transfer keys to another user, view reports and receive alerts away from the system. KeyTrak markets to state and local government facilities and fleets alongside law enforcement, automotive, education, medical, commercial and multifamily customers.
