Motive Launches Integrated Fleet Maintenance Management Module
New product consolidates maintenance tracking, work orders and cost data in a single platform.

Fleet professionals managing maintenance across spreadsheets and disconnected software now have a platform option from Motive: the company launched Motive Maintenance, an end-to-end maintenance management module built directly into the Motive Dashboard.
The module connects defect reporting, fault code detection and work order management in a single workflow. When a driver logs a defect or Motive’s telematics detects a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), the issue flows into a prioritized work order. From there, maintenance teams can assign the repair to a technician or shop, track the work, capture the invoice using AI, and attach the final cost to the asset’s maintenance history. The system is designed to support in-house shops, outsourced maintenance and mixed models from within the same platform.
Motive cited two figures from its own study to frame the problem the module addresses: 80% of fleet professionals identify rising maintenance and repair costs as their top operational challenge, and only 13% reported that their fleet management technology systems are well integrated and share data automatically across platforms.
For fleets already running Motive for tracking, safety or compliance, the company said adding Maintenance requires no additional setup or software integrations. Cost visibility features include per-asset total cost of ownership data intended to support repair-versus-replace decisions, pulling together invoices and maintenance history that would otherwise sit in separate tools.
