DFC Completes AMECA Certified Brake Pad Coverage for Ford Explorer Police Interceptor and Chevrolet Tahoe PPV and SSV

Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) announced that its front and rear brake pads for the 2020-2026 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor and 2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) and Special Service Vehicle (SSV) have completed Link Engineering’s Police Laboratory Brake Evaluation Program and are included in AMECA’s Police Declaration of Conformity product listing.
The pads cleared Link Engineering’s Police Laboratory Brake Evaluation Program, which uses original equipment police brake performance as its benchmark. AMECA serves as the independent registrar, and the program includes annual audit testing to monitor friction and bonding consistency over time.
The achievement provides documented brake pad coverage for police vehicles operating under substantial vehicle weight, added equipment loads, repeated high-energy stops, elevated brake temperatures and continuous stop-and-go demands.
The AMECA public listing lets purchasing and technical staff confirm participating suppliers, qualifying applications, report numbers, listed part numbers and expiration dates. The declarations apply specifically to the listed DFC brake pad part numbers and document evaluation against OE performance for consistency, durability, wear, structural integrity and severe-duty operation.
