Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) and PursuitAlert announced that they have integrated PursuitAlert’s patented DigitalSiren technology with the patented H.E.L.P. Alert Network, making the combined capability available to public safety agencies across the United States. ESS describes itself as a Comprehensive Advance Warning Solutions company.

Through the integration, equipped agency vehicles generate real-time alerts during active pursuits, Code 3 responses and other qualifying emergency events. PursuitAlert’s system feeds incident-specific data to the H.E.L.P. Alert Network, which distributes what the companies call Road Awareness Alerts through connected navigation applications, in-cabin vehicle displays and other network endpoints, giving approaching drivers earlier warning before a fast-moving hazard comes into view.

The companies said the H.E.L.P. Alert Network, when combined with conspicuous vehicle lighting, reduces crash risk by as much as 90% and improves slow-down-and-move-over behavior by at least four times compared to either layer alone.

Tim Morgan, co-founder and CEO of PursuitAlert, said the integration extends the reach of time-critical warnings. “A pursuit can move through a community faster than conventional warnings can reach the people in its path,” Morgan said. “We built DigitalSiren because motorists and families deserve a meaningful warning before danger reaches them. Connecting our alerts with the H.E.L.P. Alert Network places these warnings in more navigation and vehicle experiences drivers already use, extending protection while officers remain focused on safely managing the incident.”

David Tucker, CEO of Emergency Safety Solutions, said the partnership addresses hazards that move quickly and change by the second. “PursuitAlert has developed a purpose-built way for public safety agencies to communicate hazards that are moving quickly — often erratically — and changing by the second,” Tucker said. “By combining PursuitAlert’s capabilities with those of the H.E.L.P. Alert Network, we are extending Advance Warning to mitigate one of the most difficult and dangerous situations on the road. Together, we are warning motorists earlier, supporting first responders and helping prevent an emergency response from becoming a secondary tragedy.”
