Regional Public Fleet Associations
State and regional membership groups for government fleet managers, such as SGFMA, FLAGFA, MFMA, NASUF, PFMA and MEMA.
Alongside the national associations, most regions have a state or multi-state group for public fleet managers. Names vary and the scope is usually a state or a region.
Their practical value is different from a national body and often larger. Peers in the same state operate under the same procurement statute, the same purchasing cooperatives, the same weather and often the same vendors, so a specification or a chargeback approach that worked for them transfers much better than a national average. Regional meetings are also where fleets compare figures informally, which tends to be more honest than a published benchmark.
Several are listed in the Solutions Guide with their own contact details.
