Kubota Unveils All-New BX90 Sub-Compact Tractor Series
Kubota's new BX90 sub-compact line brings more power and platform-wide advancements across five models

Five new sub-compact tractor models from Kubota Tractor Corporation, ranging from 19.3 to 23.9 gross horsepower, will reach authorized dealerships in early 2027 under the BX90 Series designation, a ground-up platform redesign of the line Kubota introduced in 2000.
The lineup spans three trim levels across five configurations: the BX2190, BX2390 Deluxe and BX2690 Premium, plus two backhoe-equipped variants, the BX2390S and BX2690S Premium. Every model in the series carries platform-wide changes to the loader, mower deck and operator controls.
On the loader side, the BX2190 pairs with the redesigned LA355, rated at up to 721 pounds of lift capacity. The BX2390 and BX2690 models use the LA405, rated at up to 904 pounds. Both redesigned loaders add dual bucket cylinders, an improved rollback angle, protected hose routing and a repositioned loader cradle intended to simplify attachment and removal. The BX2390 and BX2690 also gain increased hydraulic flow and pressure for quicker cycle times.
Mower deck options are 54-inch and 60-inch, both welded-steel construction, available in pin-on or drive-over configurations. The available Swift-Mount Deck auto coupling driveline connects as the tractor drives over the deck. The entry-level BX2190 supports the 60-inch deck despite its lower output. The new side-by-side hydrostatic transmission pedals replace the prior layout across all models, placing forward and reverse controls in a single natural operating position.
