Utah Fleet Operations Picks AI-enabled FMIS to Manage Statewide Fleet

More than 10,000 assets and 12,000 pieces of equipment across Utah state government will run on RTA Fleet360 after the Utah Division of Fleet Operations selected the platform as its statewide fleet management information system.
The division evaluated Fleet360 on functionality first, requiring the system to handle the full scope of daily fleet work across assets, technicians, maintenance, parts and reporting under a single AI-enabled interface.
In addition, Utah required that fleet data be accurate, immediately accessible and usable for agency decision-making, with reporting, dashboards and AI tools built in.
Ron360, Fleet360’s built-in AI chat tool that lets staff query their own fleet data and receive plain-language answers drawn from existing records, is also part of the platform.
“In the end, it came down to building trust. RTA Fleet didn’t just sell us a product. They continue to demonstrate their ability to add value through this partnership,” said Cory Weeks, director of fleet operations for the State of Utah. “We’ll keep working together to improve and bring the right technology into our fleet services and operations, so we can better support state agencies and employees in their ongoing efforts to make a difference for Utah residents.”
Another factor leading to the selection of Fleet360 was RTA Fleet’s pre-agreement engagement. Before the contract was signed, RTA worked directly with Utah’s staff to map day-to-day operations to the software’s configuration. RTA Fleet’s staff includes former public-sector fleet directors and managers, and Utah’s team will have ongoing access to those staffers for guidance.
