FASTER Asset Solutions has added two features to its fleet management platform: prebuilt Insights dashboards and a set of AI Analysts that let fleet teams query their own work order, parts and labor data without exporting to spreadsheets.
The Insights dashboards surface the measures fleet teams review routinely, with filters by department, asset class or shop. Clicking any figure opens the underlying work orders. According to the company’s announcement, the intended use cases include tracking out-of-service time by shop and asset class, displaying maintenance cost and depreciation side by side for budget and council presentations, flagging parts below reorder point and aging open orders, and monitoring technician efficiency, completed work orders and overtime by shop and by technician.
The five AI Analysts each cover a distinct operational area. The Comeback Repairs Analyst is designed to surface repeat repairs on a unit, using the kind of question the announcement frames as “Why does unit 4471 keep coming back for brakes?” The maintenance analyst tracks what is due and which assets are at risk. The Asset and Warranty Coverage Analyst checks warranty status before a repair is authorized and paid. The Lifecycle Cost Analyst addresses total cost of ownership and replacement flagging. The Parts Inventory Analyst identifies shortages before they delay a repair.
FASTER said the AI Analysts accept plain-English queries and return answers drawn from data already in the platform. The analysts are read-only, use FASTER’s own definitions, and customer data is not used to train the underlying AI models.
The announcement also links to an on-demand webinar titled “Make Your Next Fleet Software Decision with Confidence:” a guide covering eight fleet management tools for emergency medical service readiness, and a guide covering 10 platforms for public agencies.
