Buyers Products Company has been awarded Sourcewell contract #033126-BPC for snow and ice handling equipment, supplies and accessories, opening a cooperative purchasing path for public agencies across the U.S. and Canada.

The contract covers snow plows, municipal plow systems, wing plows, spreaders, anti-icing and de-icing systems, liquid brine application equipment, dump body upfits, hydraulic systems and replacement parts.

“This Sourcewell contract makes it easier than ever for public agencies to access the equipment they need to maintain roads and facilities while reducing procurement complexity and administrative burden,” said Frank Dickinson, director of municipal sales at Buyers Products.

Eligible purchasers include towns, cities, municipalities, school districts, departments of transportation and airports. Participating agencies can buy off the contract without running a separate competitive bid.

“We’re excited to support communities across North America with proven snow and ice solutions backed by our extensive dealer and service network,” Dickinson said.

Sourcewell, a self-funded governmental organization founded in 1978 and based in Minnesota, administers cooperative contracts on behalf of more than 50,000 participating agencies.
