Twelve VALRJX Valor lightbar models, listed at $4,970 to $7,066, will replace the previous VALRJ series, Federal Signal said in a market update dated Oct. 23, 2026. The new models are available to order and add optional GPS sync and optional snow-melting Heatwave capability.
The new series comes in 44-inch and 51-inch lengths. Both lengths are available in red/blue/white or blue/white LED configurations. The standard hook kit is no longer available as a stock model.
The optional integrated sync module works in conjunction with any Pathfinder siren to synchronize flash patterns and voice-message audio across any number of like-programmed vehicles using a GPS signal to maintain timing. Federal Signal said in the announcement that the GPS-based approach is the same technology used in the separate PFSYNC-1 module, but integrating it into the lightbar reduces component count and installation connections. The top-of-vehicle placement also serves a secondary function: it positions the ambient light sensor where it can automatically adjust warning-light intensity based on time of day or light exposure.
Select models add the Heatwave option. Resistor units on the Reliable Onboard Circuitry board heat up when temperature drops below a programmable threshold. Federal Signal said the heat can melt up to 2 inches of snow in less than 25 minutes, with performance dependent on ambient temperature and other environmental conditions. The housing carries an IP65 rating. The Reliable Onboard Circuitry board also consolidates componentry, which Federal Signal said leads to simplified replacement models.
Carried forward from the previous Valor line: a low-profile V-shape design rated for superior lighting coverage at 45 and 90 degrees, integrated Vortex generators, amber/blue/green/red/white LED options, built-in SignalMaster directional warning, 12 Vdc input, a low-power mode and a five-year warranty.

The model-number string decodes as follows: VALR identifies the Valor family; 44 or 51 gives the length; JX denotes the new FSJoin and feature options generation; S indicates integrated sync; SH indicates both integrated sync and Heatwave; the color suffix (1 = driver red/white, passenger blue/white; 2 = blue/white; 3 = red/blue/white) precedes L, which designates the low hook kit.
The previous VALRJ models map directly to VALRJX replacements. The VALR44J-P1BH, which carried the standard hook kit, maps to the VALR44JX-1L; that standard kit configuration has no equivalent in the new line. All other discontinued 44-inch and 51-inch models with low hook kits map to specific VALRJX-1L, -2L or -3L base models, with the S and SH variants now available where sync or sync-plus-Heatwave capability is needed.
All new VALRJX models were available to order as of Oct. 23, 2026. Previous models will be available while supplies last, and delivery times may vary. Custom configurations are planned for 2027. Federal Signal is headquartered in University Park, Illinois.
